The Services for Older Adults Community Grant program was designed to support organizations that provide direct services to older adults (65+ years), which enable them to live independently in their homes.
Application Process
- Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI)
All potential applicants must fill out an online LOI form no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024. To complete an LOI, go to our online grant portal (click here) and refer to the instructions on the homepage to log in. Application access code is ADULTS24. - Complete an Official Application
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will receive an email granting you access to the official application. The deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024.

FAQs
Grants are awarded to charitable organizations providing direct services for our community’s older citizens who are still living in their homes.
If my organization received a Services for Older Adults grant last year, am I eligible to apply this year?
You may apply this year if the following conditions have been met:
- The funds have been fully expended
- All follow-up grant reports have been submitted
- The program successfully met its goal
My organization has a current grant through one of the Community Grant opportunities (Opportunities for Children, Culture & Community or Access to Health Care). Am I eligible to apply for the Services for Older Adults grant?
Yes, but only if it is for a different program. We will not consider funding the same program with two different community grants.
Can an organization submit a Letter of Interest or grant application for more than one project during a single grant cycle?
Yes, applicants will submit letters of intent online. (Please refer to the guidelines above). If your proposed program and organization appear to meet the guidelines, you will receive an email with a link and access code to the online application.

Will the organizations that apply receive notification if they are not approved?

City of Choctaw – $30,000 – For their Senior Alliance Program that promotes senior well-being and independence, lifelong learning and community engagement.
Community Health Centers – $30,000 – To support their Senior Wellness and Safety program that helps increase physical activity, improve nutrition, stop smoking and enhance mental stimulation.
Compassionate Hands – $19,000 – For their Care-A-Van Program that provides transportation for medical appointments, errands and recreation for older adults in Yukon.
Neighborhood Services Organization – $30,000 – To support programming that provides transportation to keep vulnerable older OKC adults in their homes.
Oklahoma City Ballet – $20,000 – To support the Golden Swans, a series of ballet and dance classes for older adults and individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance – $10,000 – To support the expansion of their LOUD Crowd program that provides Parkinson’s patients with speech therapy, social interaction and a cognitive challenge.
Prairie Dance Theatre – $6,650 – To support Aloha in Motion, their senior exercise program that helps improve physical health, fosters a sense of belonging and improves their quality of life.
Reaching Our City – $15,000 – To support their Foundation Club and Dayspring Adult Day Health Centers that help older adults live independently as long as possible.
Rebuilding Together OKC – $30,000 – To support their Safe & Healthy Housing initiative that helps make common repairs and updates that help older adults remain independent in their homes.
Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma – $22,600 – To support wellness activities that engage seniors and encourage them to become more social.
Compassionate Hands – $19,000 – To support the Care-A-Van program that provides transportation to senior citizens in Yukon.
Metropolitan Better Living Center – $10,570 – To implement an interactive senior wellness program that incorporates physical, mental and dietary classes to improve overall health.
Oklahoma Assistive Technology Foundation – $20,000 – To assist Oklahomans with disabilities, and their support systems, in increasing understanding, access to and acquisition of assistive technology and durable medical equipment.
Oklahoma City Ballet – $20,000 – To support free ballet classes for seniors and individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Rebuilding Together OKC – $20,000 – To maintain the safety of aging homeowners by ensuring they have exterior lighting and secure windows and doors.
Restore OKC – $20,000 – To provide critical home repair or handicap accessibility needs so seniors can age safely in their homes.
St. Luke’s Methodist Church – $15,000 – To provide additional engagement and assistance to Meals on Wheels clients.
The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Area Command – $20,000 – To provide independent living assistance to older adults.
VillagesOKC – $19,444 – To empower independence and reduce chronic loneliness through healthy aging education and socialization opportunities.
