Community Grant Recipients

Tackling Our Community’s Most Urgent Challenges

In 2011, the Oklahoma City Community Foundation launched the Community Grant program, made possible by generous donors who want to address our community’s most pressing needs. Since then, the program has expanded to include Access to Health Care, Services for Older Adults, Opportunities for Children and Culture and Community grants. Guidelines and eligibility criteria for each grant program are based on donor intent.

Applications are reviewed by a dedicated team of community volunteers with knowledge and expertise in each grant focus area. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustees approve all funding recommendations.

To learn more about the guidelines, eligibility requirements, previous grantees and important dates for each of these programs, please scroll down to learn more about our four grant areas.

Access to Health Care

The Access to Health Care program is designed to support organizations that provide direct health care services, including mental health, dental, and hospice or palliative care services, to those who would not otherwise have access to such services due to economic, social, or geographic reasons.

Opportunities for Children

The Opportunities for Children program was designed to support charitable organizations that provide direct services for children birth to age 14 who would not otherwise have access to recreational, social or enrichment opportunities due to special needs or social circumstances.

Culture & Community

Oklahoma’s rich cultural heritage encompasses a diverse array of traditions, artistic expressions, social practices, historical and intellectual achievements, and unique local cultures. The goal of this grant program is to support projects that celebrate and preserve these important elements of Oklahoma’s cultural fabric.

Services for Older Adults

The Services for Older Adults program was designed to support organizations that provide direct services for older adults (65+ years) which enable them to live independently in their home.
