Talita DeNegri
Talita DeNegri, Educator (Retired), St. Mary High School
A graduate of Mount St. Mary High School, Talita DeNegri graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an English degree and teaching certificate in 1984 and a master’s in administration in 2003.
In 1984, she began her 33-year teaching career at Mount St. Mary’s. Mrs. DeNegri moved to the Oklahoma City Public School system in 1996, where she grew as an educator and earned the title of Oklahoma Teacher of the Year in 2000. Mrs. DeNegri returned to Mount St. Mary’s in 2003 as vice principal and served as principal from 2004 through 2021.
Most recently, she was named Executive Assistant to the President of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. No matter where her career has taken her, she has found time to devote to the community. Mrs. DeNegri served on the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Educational Committee and the College Board Educational Committee, as well as on the board of the Mercy Secondary Educators Association and the Youth Leadership Exchange. Mrs. DeNegri chaired the recently ended Wellness Initiative Committee for OCCF.
