Rick Johnson, Trustee/Manager, Malzahn Family Limited Partnership

Rick Johnson served Charles Machine Works in a variety of ways beginning in 1987. During his tenure, he served as credit manager, chief financial officer, chief information officer, president, and chief operating officer, and was named CEO in 2015. Charles Machine Works was founded in 1902 by the Malzahn family as a blacksmith shop in Perry. In 1959, Ed Malzahn invented the first service line trencher, establishing Ditch Witch as the flagship brand for Charles Machine Works. The Toro Company purchased Charles Machine Works in 2019. Mr. Johnson has worked with the Community Foundation for years as the primary contact for the Malzahn Family Affiliated Fund.
