Leigh Ann Albers
Leigh Ann Albers, Community Volunteer
Leigh Ann Albers is a native Oklahoman and graduate of John Marshall High School. She attended and graduated from the College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma in 1978. She was a cardiovascular surgical nurse specialist at the OU Health Sciences Center and eventually worked with a cardiovascular thoracic surgeon helping to coordinate a highly successful surgery practice. After spending time in Virginia Beach, Leigh Ann and her husband Paul moved back to Oklahoma City in 2006. Since moving back, she has served on many boards in the area, including Variety Care, Oklahoma Arts Institute Foundation and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. She and her husband were recognized as outstanding philanthropists by the Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
