Christian Keesee, Ex Officio, Chairman, Kirkpatrick Bank
Christian Keesee is the grandson of Oklahoma City Community Foundation founders, John Elson and Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick. He received his associate of arts degree from Menlo College in Atherton, Calif., and his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Mr. Keesee is the chairman of Kirkpatrick Bank, the Kirkpatrick Oil Company and president of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund. Kirkpatrick Bank serves customers in both Oklahoma and Colorado with branches in Edmond, Oklahoma City, Colorado Springs and Denver. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, the Kirkpatrick Oil Company was founded in 1922 as a private exploration and drilling company.
Mr. Keesee’s interest in the arts is evident through his civic and business affiliations. He founded the Brett Weston Archive and the Green Box Arts Festival in Green Mountain Falls, Colo. He is the founder and chairman of Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center and is a board member of the Frick Collection in New York. Mr. Keesee serves as chairman of the Kirkpatrick Foundation and as president of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, the largest permanent endowment fund administered by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Mr. Keesee served as a trustee of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation for nine years and, in 2008, began his role as an ex officio member of the board.
